Privacy Policy

ClauseGuard processes uploaded documents transiently to extract text and generate an analysis. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it.

What We Collect

• Analysis results — retained for up to 48 hours
• Unlock/payment status for each analysis
• Minimal technical logs for reliability and debugging

What We Do Not Store

• Original uploaded files (PDF/DOCX) — discarded after text extraction
• Personal data, unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g. via Paddle during checkout)

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ClauseGuard:

• OpenAI — processes extracted contract text to generate analysis
• Paddle — handles payment processing as our merchant of record
• Upstash — temporary storage of analysis results (auto-deleted after 48 hours)
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them for details on how they handle data.

Cookies

ClauseGuard does not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. Paddle may set cookies during the checkout process to facilitate payment. These are governed by Paddle's cookie policy.

Data Retention

All analysis data is automatically deleted 48 hours after creation. We do not maintain long-term archives of uploaded files or analysis results.

Your Rights

You may:

• Request deletion of any data associated with your analysis
• Request information about what data is currently stored
